BEST LAS PALAPAS EVER!!! Big dining room, lots of space, plenty of parking and that's just to start. Went into to grab a quick bite, been eating Las for a long while. The staff was efficient, restaurant looked clean, I was greeted promptly, sat quickly, and had a drink and chips in no time before my waiter even got to me!
My waiter was Greg. He took my order, asked lots of questions to get my order right, offered me add-ones to make my meal better, was friendly funny and positive. Had my food to me in no time ( Seemed like less then ten minutes)! Food looked beautiful and tasted amazing as Las Palapas always tastes great, this location was no exception. Greg kept checking on me refilling my drink, getting me more salsa and chips and making sure the food came out perfect. I even had a couple of the other waiters come by to make sure I was okay and to ask me if I needed anything else.
If I didn't know any better I'd say I was about to pay $100.00 a plate given the level of service I was receiving, But as usual food value is always amazing at Las. When I left everyone was smiling and friendly telling me "thank you for coming in" and to "have a blessed day." Made my whole day eating here. I highly recommend 410 and West Ave. Las Palapas!!! Amazing Place to eat. -

Typically I am a big fan of Las Palapas. However after today going through the drive-through I will not be visiting this location in particular ever again. I asked for a cup of ice to go along with my lunch and was shocked when I saw the staff palm cubes of ice with her bare hands and fill the cup. If not for a matter of food safety I would most likely given a 3 or four star review.

Don't come here.. the service is so slow, all the servers are just scrambling around. They ran out of barbacoa before 10 am. Food took forever to come out, not a good experience.

The WORST LAS PALAPAS EVER, which was very unexpected being that it's the NEWEST one. Food got cold while waiting for the tortillas for the plate which came out 15 minutes AFTER the food came out. Staff was EXTREMELY SLOW AND SHORT STAFFED on top of that. They're seating arrangement was very unorganized. Even the drive thru line was out the rough with people just waiting for food. There was people still waiting in line from when I first arrived at 5:43 until now, I'm still here at 6:44 pm. I had to ask for my tortillas more than once AFTER I had already gotten my food. JUST HORRIBLE! If I had never been to the other locations I would NEVER return to a Las Palapas in my life.

Ive gone to the Last Palapas on Blanco...not impressed, so I thought I would try the new one, in Castle Hills on West Ave.
Pretty much, the same experience.
I returned again, and ordered an enchilada plate.
Hated it!
There's so many little mom and pop Mexican restaurants in SA, that are so much better.
El Taco de Jalisco on Vance Jackson and El Palmar on Jackson Keller, both just outside Loop 410, are so much better than this chain of fast sucky food.
Give them a try, and you'll immediately understand, why I love them both.
Always clean, and great staff too!
